english beaches in the spotlight - dorset, englandThe national tourist board of England, VisitEngland, has launched a new marketing campaign to promote short breaks on English beaches.

The multi-channel campaign focuses on the most spectacular beaches in England and attracts travellers to spend their short breaks at these holiday destinations.

The campaign, funded partly by the government's Regional Growth Fund, shows the beauty of the world-famous coastline of England, fishing villages, hidden coves and the enjoy of fresh local products.

The destinations of the campaign are: Cumbria, Dorset, North Devon & Exmoor, Isles of Scilly and Suffolk.

VisitBritain's campaign incorporates radio stations online, print media and broadcast elements, like Classic FM and Gold FM, as well as The Guardian and Mail.

The campaign aims to inspire UK residents to spend their holiday and short breaks in England, increasing the the tourism and grow jobs in the country, says James Berresford, VisitEngland's CEO.
