Lanzarote airport is located at 5 kilometers from Arrecife, and has an important spot in the extraordinary tourist development of the island. The main airport traffic corresponds to the countries of the European Union. The United Kingdom and Germany account for more than 60 percent of international traffic. National traffic is concentrated in three destinations: Gran Canaria, Madrid-Barajas and Tenerife North. In 2018, the airport registered a traffic of over 7 million passengers. The number of operations was 60,955 and freight traffic exceeded 1,600 tons.
Airport Terminals and Airlines
The airport has two terminals, Terminal 1 for domestic and international flights and Terminal 2 for regional flights (Canary Islands).

Airport Services and Facilities
Lanzarote Duty Free covers a large shopping area inside the airport, where you can find duty-free items of perfumery, fine spirits, food, accessories, tobacco and leather goods. Each of the zones is clearly identifiable thanks to a precise signaling of sections, products, offers and promotions.
Relay store has a wide variety of national and international newspapers and magazines and a good selection of travel items (bags, padlocks, etc.), books, gifts and souvenirs. If you have some time to spare, you can go shopping at the fashion and gift stores at this airport. Some of them are Parfois, Sunglass Hut, The Ocean Company etc., where you can find interesting pieces for yourself or gifts you can take back to your loved ones.
If you are hungry, Caffè di Fiore is a cafeteria offering tapas, sandwiches and pastries. Four Arrows has an extensive selection of imported beer and a range of food designed for the most demanding public. La Tropical Brewery is located on a terrace, making it a unique space to enjoy the best Canarian beer and the Canarian climate. If you are after some fast-food options, head out to The Burger King or Upper Crust and enjoy the comfort food you so much crave. And for some better dining, go to the Food Garden, a space that offers a solid selection between several specialized themed restaurant spaces by concept - grilled meat in Meat BBQ Grill, coffee and pastries in Cake & Bake, pizza and pasta in Il Forno and gourmet salads from Salad & Dressing.
During the summer season (March – October) the airport is open between 6:00 AM – 12:00 AM and during the winter season (November – February) the airport is open between 7:00 AM – 1:00 AM. Overnight stays are not permitted at this airport, so for uninterrupted sleep, book a room at one of the hotels nearby. For added comfort while you wait, economy class passengers can pay to enter an airport lounge.  
ATMs are available at several airport locations in case you need some cash. Free, unlimited Wi-Fi is available. Simply connect to the “Airport free Wi-Fi Aena” network and you are good to go. There are children zones as well if you are traveling with your young ones. In addition, this airport offers services for the disabled, but make sure to ask for assistance in advance.
Ground Transportation
Lanzarote Airport is served by the city bus routes 22, 23, 161 and 261, linking the airport to Arrecife, Playa Honda, Playa Blanca and Puerto del Carmen. Buses stop on the Arrivals level of both T1 and T2, ad the fares start at €1.40 one-way.
