Two hamlets are worth being seen: the one is Vrebos, which is located in the southern part of Everberg. The other is Schoonaarde, situated between Erps and Meerbeek. These are easy to access, as both can be found in the vicinity of Erps-Kwerps train station.

A Benedictine abbey, built in 1222. In 1312, John II, Duke of Brabant signed the Charter of Kortenberg here. That document can be called a jurisdicial foundation for the entire Duchy of Brabant. In western history it must be mentioned just after the Magna Carta among the basic charters limiting the powers of monarchs in favour of a number of civil freedoms.
The abbey looks back to a quite eventful history: arson, plundering and reconstruction followed each other. The following parts of the abbey should be listed as the oldest ones: the gate building with the gothic spired gate from the beginning of the 17th century, the Cattle Courtyard (Veehof) from 1650, the lease courtyard, the Brewery from 1732, and the abbey castle built from 1779 until 1783. The abbey, which is owned by the diocese, has been a protected monument since February 14, 2005. The decision referring to the protection was made by the Flemish government. The Old Abbey Kortenberg is a religious-contemplative centre. Today, the grounds have been opened to the public as a park for recreational use.

On the territory of Erps-Kwerps an ancient Roman villa has been excavated. The same archeological site revealed a burial-ground of the Frankish civilisation.
