Liberec -Prague Airport (PRG)
We took a ride from Liberec to Prague Airport. The driver arrived early to fetch us and we could leave exactly on time. However, there was quite a rush hour in Prague, and we were delayed ca. 15 minutes in the destination - nothing serious, though. The driver was friendly and spoke fluent English. The car was very spacious for us and our luggage.

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (IATA: CDG, ICAO: LFPG), also known as Roissy Airport, is a major aviation centre on a world scale, as well as the largest airport in France. CDG serves as a hub for European, Asian, African and Trans-Atlantic flights. It is named after general Charles de Gaulle (1890–1970), who was the leader of the French resistance during WWII and the founder of the French Fifth Republic, as well as the President of France from 1959 to 1969. The airport is the principal hub for Air France. The airport covers a huge area because when founded the government planned further expansions of the airport. Charles de Gaulle Airport – which was named Paris Nord during construction – opened in 1974.
The Airport has three terminals of which Terminal 1 is the oldest one. Terminal 2 was originally constructed only for Air France, but from the beginning it has been widely extended and now also hosts other airlines. The third terminal, T3, serves charter and low-cost airlines. The terminals, the parking places and the railway station are connected with the CDGVAL (started in April, 2007) which is a light-rail shuttle.

The first terminal forms the image of an octopus. The circular central part has the important functions of check-in and baggage claim. The gates are situated in the seven satellites around the central building. These building are linked with the central one with underground walkways.

Terminal 2 has seven terminals: 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F, and a bit further, 2G. The first six terminals are connected by ground-level or below-ground passageways. Terminal 2E has three halls, signed K, L and M. Terminal 2G can only be reached by a bus service from the other terminals. Terminal 2 has an RER and TGV station, Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 – TGV, below the common area linking halls 2C–2F.

Terminal 2G (opened in 2008) hosts regional Air France flights and its affiliates. This terminal is of eastern direction of all the remaining terminals and can only be reached by shuttle bus. Schengen Area passengers also use Terminal 2G.
Hall L (also called Satellite 3, opened in 2007) serves for large-capacity airliners, particularly the Airbus A380. Terminals 2E and 2F provide the check-in and baggage handling for this satellite.

The recently opened Hall M (Satellite 4) serves as a host long-haul flights. This satellite is able to handle 16 aircraft at the same time, with an expected capacity of 7.8 million passengers per year. When opened in 2012 all Skyteam airlines had to be relocated to terminals 2E (for international carriers), 2F (for Schengen European carriers), and 2G.
